Fukrey is a nice light-hearted comedy that will keep you engaged in the movie hall.
It will entertain you without taxing your sensibility and tickle you without resorting to vulgarity.
The script is tightly written and ably directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba.
If you have an important examination on hand, you should give yourself a break to watch this entertaining movie produced by the ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ pair Farhan Akhtar and Riteish Sidhwani.
The best thing about Fukrey is its actors – all fresh faces and all doing justice to their roles.
At the end of the movie you will love their adolescence and childishness.
It is true that Fukrey does not match the effect of Delhi Belly, yet it allows you to connect with the low life on Delhi by-lanes.
I did not enter the movie hall with huge expectations.
And it was a pleasant surprise to watch a movie that had an original script and some pretty good dialogues.
Thankfully, the movie does not force you to laugh at poorly written jokes and situations.
It has some genuine comic situations that would make you laugh effortlessly.
The movie introduces you to Delhi lingo and diction.
However, it does not mix vulgarity in the dialogues and does not resort to double entendres to tickle you.
The movie does revolve around male friends, however gives enough space to actresses, all of whom do complete justice to their roles.
I liked the four protagonists, who have acted effortlessly.
Fukrey is an entertaining movie, though it misses the opportunity to be a great entertainer by some yards.
You must watch it! You will not rue your decision to visit the cinema hall.
I give it 3 out of 5.
